Exposed

When thrown from your comfort zone
(exposed)
don’t fear the way
every feeling is magnified.
Instead, embrace the way
defense mechanisms are disarmed.
Use vulnerability like a parachute
while falling (fast) into love.

  1. so strange how your words, meant for you can work for me for an upcoming event. Minus the very last line, this is amazing how this can exactly apply. wow. love it and needed it. I’m a bundle of nerves for a little art show this Friday. All eyes on me and that freaks me out so much, but I just love those words you wrote.

  2. I often tell myself to leave my comfort zone when it comes to my writing. I know this is actually a love poem, but it’s good advice for other areas of life as well.
