during the frigid season,
she stayed warm
inside a cocoon of
sweaters & scarves.
basking in the sun,
she shrugs off
her cumbersome clothes.
transformed
as her dress swings
while she twirls
in the warm breeze.

Ah, I love the delightful energy of this poem! It makes me wistful for the warm spring sunshine. (We received six inches of snow today and will have wind chills making it feel like 5 degrees tomorrow. Sigh.) I’m not one for wearing dresses, but I’d love to be able to put away my long-sleeved shirts and sweaters.
